1. Kronos 540-G2 Casing and FPIO Recyclable, ROHS compliant, ABS bezel and SGCC metal sheet To remove the FPIO, unscrew theses 2 screws, then unplug all cables. The front bezel can be removed manually, toolless, by spreading the three tabs and pulling outwards.

To remove the side panels, simply release the four latches and pull the panels back. The rubber feet are glued in place. To remove them, they can be lifted using a sharp tool.
5. Motherboard battery The motherboard battery requires selective treatment per EU WEEE Directive Annex VII. The motherboard CR2032 battery is popped in and popped out by hand. No special tools are required to install/disinstall this component.
6. Kronos 540-G2 Hard disk drive or SSD To remove the M.2 SSD, unscrew the retaining screw, lift the drive and pull it out of the slot. To remove the 2.5” HDD or SSD, pull out the disk holder and unscrew the HDD or SSD.
7. Kronos 540-G2 Optical drive To remove the optical drive bay cover, push it out from inside. To remove the optical drive, pull the 2 latches and pull the drive out.
8. Kronos 540-G2 Memory To remove a memory module, first remove the cooling system, then flip the latch and remove the module. (See cooling system removal procedure below.) 9. Kronos 540-G2 Processor To remove the processor, you must first remove the cooling system.

To remove the processor, release the lever, lift the cover and remove the processor.
10. Video controller To remove the video controller, flip the plastic cover and unscrew the retaining screw. Then pull to remove the controller. 11. Power Cord The power cord requires selective treatment per EU WEEE Directive Annex VII.
