Nomad Alpha Bluetooth Speaker is intended to be used both indoors and outdoors. The speaker has been tested to IP67 waterproofing and dustproofing standards. IP67 standard allows Nomad Alpha to be submerged in water up to 1 metre for 30 minutes without any damage. However, Nomad Alpha is not intended for constant underwater use. Close the side panel cap properly before use (see locking side panel cap section). If Nomad Alpha is placed in water without the cap securely closed, water will enter Nomad Alpha and void the warranty.
Always make sure the side panel cap is clean, free of any debris and correctly fitted. The speaker will only meet IP67 ratings when the side panel cap is properly locked and sealed. Included USB cables are NOT waterproof.
If you notice a muffling of audio after submersion, gently shake Nomad Alpha to clear excess water. If your speaker is exposed to saltwater clean it thoroughly after use with fresh water. Do not apply excessive force to any surfaces of Nomad Alpha when it is wet or in a wet environment.
Check the rubber seal periodically for premature wear and clean Nomad Alpha with a soft damp cloth and ensure no objects such as dirt, hair, sand are on the rubber seal ring. Do not use any oily solvents or chemicals for cleaning.
All Sprout products go through thorough quality assurance inspections. If you find that your device is excessively hot, is emitting odour, is deformed, abraded, cut or is experiencing or demonstrating an abnormal phenomenon, immediately stop all product use and contact Sprout.
