Care and Maintenance

Nomad Tempo Bluetooth speaker is intended to be used both indoors and outdoors. The speaker has been tested to IP67 waterproofing and dustproofing standards. IP67 standard allows Nomad Tempo to be submerged in water up to 1 metre for 30 minutes without any damage. However, Nomad Tempo is not intended for constant underwater use.

The speaker will only meet IP67 ratings when side cover is properly locked and sealed. If the side cover is not properly closed, the Nomad Tempo is not dust/ waterproof and damage caused may void the warranty. Always make sure the side cover is clean, free of any debris and correctly fitted. Included USB cables are NOT waterproof.

If you notice a muffling of audio after submersion, gently shake Nomad Tempo to clear excess water. If your speaker is exposed to saltwater clean it thoroughly after use with fresh water. Do not apply excessive force to any surfaces of Nomad Tempo when wet or in a wet environment.

Check the rubber seal periodically for premature wear and clean Nomad Tempo with a soft damp cloth and ensure no objects such as dirt, hair or sand are on the rubber seal ring. Do not use any oily solvents or chemicals for cleaning.

Important Safety Information

  1. Do not attempt to charge Nomad Tempo when it is wet, or you suspect water has seeped into the device. Thoroughly dry Nomad Tempo and make sure all connections are dry before attempting to open the side cover and connect to a USB cable or power source. Failure to do may result in electrical shock, fire or electrical damage to Nomad Tempo and void the warranty.
  2. Do not use Nomad Tempo when you are charging the battery.
  3. Do not use Nomad Tempo near any open fire, heat source or excessive heat.
  4. Do not open to modify, repair or remove any original component of Nomad Tempo. A qualified technician must carry out repair work. Do not remove the builtin battery or the grill cover. It could cause damage to the device and allow water to enter.
  5. Sound levels should be appropriate to your environment and comply with all local regulations. Ensure that you can hear and are aware of any potential hazards around you when you are enjoying your Nomad Tempo.
  6. Do not use excessive force with the Nomad Tempo either by squeezing or placing a heavy item on top of the speaker.
