Electronic Books and Regular Compact Discs
Each electronic book disc is housed in a caddy for protection against scratches
and dust. Therefore, avoid taking out the disc except for maintenance or
troubleshooting.
Dust accumulation on an electronic book disc may render reading the book
contents impossible. If this happens, remove the disc from its caddy and clean
it, as shown below.
1 Usea pen (or similar object). Insert it into the slot marked "OPEN" and
gently slide it to open the cover.
2 Open the cover fully.
3 Hold the disc by its edge and take it out.
4 Clean the disc from the center out, using a clean soft cloth.
5 insert the disc back into its caddy. Make sure the label sides of the disc and
the caddy are facing the same direction.
A regular compact disc can be cleaned in a similar way.
Caution
For cleaning, do not use solvents such as benzine, thinner, commercially
available cleaners or anti-static spray intended for use with records.
