TUNING THE TV TO THE VIDEO
When this unit is connected to the TV only through the supplied aerial
cable, the video channel should be set.
If this unit is connected via a 21-pin audio/video scart cable. skip this
section.
1 Press the POWER button on the main unit to turn on the
unit.
"1 CH" appears in the display window on the front of the main unit.
2 Set the TEST SIGNAL switch to ON to generate a test
pattern.
3 Turnonthe TV and choose a free channel you wish to use
for video playback.
4 Tune in the TV using the tuning procedure for your TV
until a black and white test pattern can be seen clearly.
Some TV receivers have a specific recommended channel to which
they should be: set for use with the VCR. Please refer to the TV
handbook if available.
5 When tuning is completed, set the TEST SIGNAL switch to
OFF.
The TV screen now turns blue, and the channel chosen is set to the
video channel.
If there is interference
on the screen
because
of broadcasts
on
neighbouring channels, shift the video channel from UHF channel 36 by
adjusting the CHANNEL selector to a channel between 30 and 39.
Consult your supplying dealer before making this adjustment.
