Adjustment methods after assy replacement
VIDEO ASSY
Replace
the VIDEO assy.
After replacing the VIDEO
The signal to be supplied may be in NTSC,
assy, supply an SG signal

COLOR and TINT.
To select MODE, press the MUTE key.
To select COLOR, press the 3 key.
To select TINT, press the 4 key.
Use an LD for picture-quality adjustment.
Perform adjustment while observing skin
tones. Maintain all the colors in proper
balance by checking the magenta along
with the skin tones during adjustment.
Note that adjustment equivalent to that
with a projection TV is not possible.

The basic operation methods in Factory mode
are the same as those for a projection TV.
Color and tint
adjustments
Use S2801 of the MAIN assy
or the factory remote control
for projection TV servicing.
Exit Factory mode

OPTICAL BLOCK
Use an attached floppy disk for OPTICAL BLOCK SERVICE assy,
and make this adjustment when OPTICAL BLOCK SERVICE assy
(AXX9010) is exchanged.
Replace the optical
block.
Connect a PC for servicing.
Load the data supplied with
the optical block service
Send the panel gamma, CRT gamma, gain,
assy into the unit.
and ITO panel color-dot data.
Perform the gain, bias,
and ITO adjustments.
Perform the convergence
adjustment within a range
of ±2.
(Exceeding this range is
regarded as a failure.)

∗ : When the optical block and MAIN assy are supplied
in combination as a single service part, no adjustment is required.
