Precautions for service that requires
opening the mirror case
If you open the mirror case for repair or other maintenance, you
may see tape adhered to upper part of the 2nd integrator.
In any case, note the following before opening the mirror case.
1. Precautions for opening a mirror case (common
to all the mirror cases)
1. Some components (such as the dichroic mirror and integrator lens)
may be stuck to the upper part of the mirror case. In such a case,
remove and return them into the lower part of the mirror case.
(For the mounting directions of the components, see page ##.)
2. Before closing the mirror case again, firmly fit all the components
to the lower part of the mirror case.
(Push the components in so that they will remain stable. )
2. Precaution if there is white tape adhered to upper
part of the 2nd integrator (AMR9163)
In addition to item 1 above, be sure to mount the integrator with the
tape facing upward.
If these precautions are neglected, yellow or purple shadow
bands may appear on the upper block or right and left sides
of the screen.
