This section guides you through setting up the unit for basic operation. You may
find this useful if you have not used the dCS 905 for a while.
The Menu Guide sheet details the menu structure. For more information, see
the Menu section, starting on page 14.
Connect up with cables designed for digital audio:
for AES/EBU interfaces use 110Ω screened, twisted pair cables fitted with
one male XLR connector and one female XLR connector.
for DSD/SDIF or Word Clock interfaces, use 75Ω coax cables fitted with
BNC plugs.
For analogue inputs, use screened, twisted pair cables fitted with one male XLR
connector and one female XLR connector.
Connect power to the unit. If there is a power switch next to the power inlet on
the rear panel, ensure it is set to on. Press the
