Warning indicators and messages
If a code starting with a letter of the
alphabet appears, your camera has a self-
diagnosis display. The last two digits
/indicated by riD) will differ depending on
the state of the camera.
If you are unable to solve the problem even
after trying the following corrective actions
a few times, contact your Sony dealer or
local authorized Sony service facility.
C:32:riri
• There is trouhle vdth ?our camera's
hardware. Turn the power off and on
again.
C:13: rill
• The camera cannot read or \;rite data.
Turn off and on the power or re-insert
Ihe "Memory Stick" several times.
• Format error has occurred in the internal
memory or all tlnformatted _Memory
Stick" is inserted. Format the media
!pages 46,471.
• The inserted 'Memo U Stick" cannot be
used with your camera, or the data is
damaged. Insert a ncx_ "Memo U Stick"
(page 83).

• A camera mallhnction has occurred.
Initialize the camera (page 49), then
turn the power on again.
If the following messages appear, follow
the instructions.
Turn the power off and on again
• A prohlcm with the h:ns has caused an
erroE
• The battery level is low. Install new
ones or charged Nickel-Metal Hydride
batteries (_ step 1 in "Read This
Fins,'"). Depending on the conditions of
use or the type of battery, the indicator
may flash even though there arc still 5
to I0 minutes of remaining battery time
left.
System error
• Turn the power off aM then on again
(_ step 2 "Read This First').
Internal memory error
• Turn the power off aM then on again
(_ step 2 "Read This First').
Memory Stick error
• Insert the "Memor.'v Stick correctly.
• The inserted "Memory Stick" cannot be
used in your camera {page 837.
• The "Memory Stick" is damaged.
• The terminal section of the "Memory
Stick" is dirty.
Memory Stick type error
• The inserted "Memory Stick" cannot be
used in your camera (page 83).
Format error
• Format the media again (pages 46, 47).
