Selecting TV screen type
These settings are not necessary when using a conventional television (4:3).
•Turn on your television and the unit (■» page 15, "To turn the unit on").
• Switch the video input mode on the television to suit the type ot connection you have
made.

i Press [ACTION] or [MENU] to display the initial settings screen.

Use the cursor jockey [ A, T ] to select "5 TV Aspect" and press [ENTER].

Use the cursor jockey [ A, ▼ ] to select the TV aspect and press [ENTER].
Factory Preset
•4:3
Select when a conventional television is connected.
• 16:9
Select when a wide-screen television is connected.

Press [RETURN] to finish the setting.
■ To return to the previous menu
Press [RETURN].
Ensure "7 Speaker Setting" is set to "2-channel" (■* page 38).
Before enjoying DVD/Video CD/CD
The On-Screen menu language of your player has been factory preset to English.
You can change the menu language to French or Spanish. Refer to "3 Menu
Language" on page 29.
In these instructions, it is assumed that English has been selected as the menu lan¬
guage.
