Recording TV Programs
Before You Begin
Before you begin recording, check the following and make
sure that the VCR functions correctly.
1 Connections
Make sure the Connections have been made correctly.
2 Positions of the selectors
INPUT SELECT: TUNER (TUNER display appears in the
display window.)
REC LEVEL: Indented center position
Caution
Television programs, films, video tapes and other
materials may be copyrighted.
Unauthorized recording of such material may be
contrary to the provisions of the copyright laws.
Also, use of this recorder with cable television
transmission may require authorization from the
cable television transmission and/or program owner.
To stop the recording
Press @ STOP.
To stop the tape for a moment
Press mm PAUSE.
To resume recording, press 1» PAUSE again.
During recording, if the pause mode lasts for more
than approximately 5 minutes, the VCR will enter the
stop mode automatically.

Insert a cassette.
The VCR will turn on automatically (Auto power on).
Select the recording tape speed, SP or EP, with REC
MODE.
3 Turn on the TV.
If your TV is equipped with video/audio input jacks
Select the input for the VCR.
if your TV is not equipped with video/audio input
jacks
Select the channel for the VCR (3 or 4.)
Press ANT TV/VTR so that the VTR indicator lights.
(Necessary only when the VCR and the TV are
connected via the VHF antenna terminal.)
Select the channel to be recorded with CHANNEL
+/—- or channel number buttons and ENTER.
Press the two @ REC buttons simultaneously.
(On the VCR there is only one @ REC button.)
When the tape reaches its end
The tape will be rewound to the beginning and the
power of the unit will remain on.
