Channel number buttons
Press the appropriate button(s) to select the channel,
and ENTER.

Use to clear the memory of the timer settings.
ENTER button
Use to enter channel numbers.
For example, to select channel 10, press 1, 0 and
ENTER or to seiect channel 4, press 4 and ENTER.
TIMER REC ON/OFF button
Press this button to enter timer recording standby
mode.
To change or cancel a timer recording, or to operate
the unit before a timer recording starts, press this
button to go out of timer recording standby mode.
To stop the tape during timer recording, press this
button, also.
AUDIO and VIDEO INSERT buttons
Use to insert a new recording onto a portion of a
recorded tape.
AUDIO: To insert sound on the normal audio track
VIDEO: To insert picture and hi-fi sound on the video
track
Tape transport buttons

§> SLOW (+: for faster speed, —: for slower speed)
< , > DIRECTION (Press to decide the direction of

Use to select the monitor sound.

Use to enter the index function mode.
INDEX MARK/ERASE buttons
Press MARK to mark an index signal at the desired
point on a tape during recording or playback. To erase
a previously recorded index signal, locate the index
signal and press ERASE.

P in P (for inserting the subsidiary picture in the
playback picture)
SHIFT (for changing the position of the subsidiary
picture)
DIGITAL OFF (for turning off the subsidiary picture).
(26) SHUTTLE EDIT button
Press to find the starting point easily for the
recording.
Battery insertion
1 Open the lid.
Insert two size AA (IEC designation on R6) batteries
with the polarity lined up correctly.
3 Close the lid.
