Thank you, and congratulations on your choice of the Roland FP-1 Digital Piano. The FP-1 is a light-weight
digital piano that features an 88-note, hammer-action keyboard. To take full advantage of the FP-1's great
sounds and performance features, please take the time to read this entire manual.
FEATURES
¢ Six Outstanding Sounds
The FP-1 offers six high quality sounds (including a robust Grand Piano) that fit in perfectly with a wide
range of musical genres.
¢ Onboard Effects
The FP-1 offers two kinds of effects, Chorus and Reverb.
¢ Dual Function
The Dual function allows you to layer (combine) any two of the FP-1's five main sounds.
¢ Hammer-Action Keyboard
The FP-1 is equipped with a hammer-action mechanism that recreates the natural feel of an acoustic
piano—with smooth, delicate travel for playing pianissimo, and firm response for fortissimo.
¢ Four Types of Keyboard Response
Four keyboard response settings let you adjust the keyboard action to suit your particular taste or needs.
¢ Compact and Light-Weight
Since the FP-1 is compact and light-weight, you can easily carry it to live performances or other occasions.
° MIDI Connectors
Since the FP-1 is equipped with MIDI connectors, you can exchange digital MIDI information with other
electronic musical instruments or computers.
* Provides Speaker Output Jacks
By connecting the Speaker Output jacks to the speakers in the optional FPS-1 keyboard stand, you can
enjoy the rich sound of the FP-1 at whatever volume you need with family or friends.
