    INTRODUCTION Your new cooker is guaranteed* and will give lasting service. This guarantee is only applicable if the appliance has been installed in accordance with the installation instructions detailed in this booklet. The cooker is designed specifically for domestic use and responsibility will not be accepted for use in any other installation.

    Always make sure all controls are turned off when you have finished cooking and when not in use. Always stand back when opening an oven door to allow any build up of steam or heat to disperse. Always use dry, good quality oven gloves when removing items from the oven/grill.

    Never allow anyone to sit or stand on any part of the appliance. Never store items above the appliance that children may attempt to reach. Never remove the oven shelves whilst the oven is hot. Never heat up unopened food containers as pressure can build up causing the container to burst.

    5. If cooking food that requires frying before placing in the oven for auto cooking, keep the delay start time to a minimum. 6. Never place hot or warm food in the oven for delay start cooking as it could cause the oven to be warm and produce harmful bacteria in the food.

    For Example: If you set a “Cook Period” for 2 hours, and “End Time” of 11:00. The timer will switch the oven(s) on at 9:00 and turn the oven(s) off at 11:00. You will hear a audible tone at 11:00, to indicate that the Auto Cooking Programme has finished.

    GRILL PAN & HANDLE The grill pan handle is detachable from the pan, to facilitate cleaning and storage. The grill pan handle can be fixed as follows: Step 1 Remove screw & washers from the grill pan bracket. Step 2 Tilt the handle over the recess (A). Step 3 Slide it towards the centre of the pan (B).

    USING THE GRILL CAUTION - ACCESSIBLE PARTS MAY BECOME HOT WHEN THE GRILL IS USED. Step 1 Remove the heat shield from the rear of an oven shelf and place the shelf in the top position. Step 2 Push in and turn the control knob anti - clockwise to the large flame symbol.

    You may notice a slight smell of gas when you close the oven door. This is due to the short delay while the burner reignites and will soon disperse.
  • Page 18 1. If food is to be frozen or not served immediately, cool it in a clean container as quickly as possible. 2. Completely thaw frozen food in the refrigerator before re-heating. 3. Re-heat food thoroughly and quickly either on the hotplate or in a hot oven, Mk. 6, and then serve immediately. 4. Only re-heat food once.

  • Page 23 Warning: Before removing lamp lens, please ensure that the electricity supply to the appliance is switched off and the appliance is fully cold. Open the oven door and remove the oven shelves. Using a thick cloth, grip the lamp lens, unscrew anti- clockwise and remove the lens.

    NOTE: The inner door glass has a special reflective coating on one side. Replace the door inner glass so that the statement: “IMPORTANT THIS FACE TOWARDS THE OVEN” can be read from the inner side of the door. Turn the two securing brackets back to their original position to retain the glass and tighten the screws.

    The adjustment conditions for this appliance are stated on the data badge which is fitted behind the bottom of the main oven door seal. This appliance is not designed to be connected to a combustion products evacuation device.

    It is important that the installation instructions for the hob are strictly observed. Where a hob is fitted above the oven unit the electrical connection for the hob should be made with an 85˚ C high temperature flexible cord to table 15 of BS 6141.

    Before the oven is fitted, the cabinet must be firmly secured to the backing wall for stability. d. The oven unit should now be lifted (this is a two person lift) into the cabinet and pushed fully home. e. Finally, the oven is secured to the cabinet by means of the four Pozi Wash Head screws - two through each side trim.

  • Page 30 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS CONNECTING TO GAS SUPPLY The oven is designed to be connected with an approved appliance flexible connection to BS 669. A length of 0.9 to 1.25m is recommended. An adaptor backplate should be fitted in the area shown to allow the appliance to be pushed fully back into the cabinet.
