Symptom

No power
~ The power cord is not securely connected.
No audio
= The VOLUME contro} is set to its minimum.

Reversed left and right sound
® Incorrect connection of the speake cords.
Severe hum or noise
'+A TV or VIR is too close to the stereo system.
'* Connections are loose. Fully insert cable connectors into jacks.
Radio Program Reception

'STEREO Indication blinks.
'The signal strength Is too weak.
Adjust the location and direction of the antenna,
'Comect an extemal antenna if the indicator stil! blinks.
Severe hum oF noise
~ Antenna location
or direction is improper.
Separate the supplied antenna ftom any electrical home appliance, power
'cord, speaker cords, FM antenna feadin, etc.
The signal strength is too weak.
'Adjust the location and direction of the antenna.
Connect an extemal antenna if hum or noise still interferes with the
reception.
© The connected 6D player is tumed on.
Turn oft the CD player.
MEMORY indication disappears during
presetting,
7 Memory presetting mode ts automatically cancelled after @ few seconds.
Press MEMORY agaln and enter the preset number.
Cassette Deck Operation

Incomplete erasure
Magnetic buildup on the erase head.
Demagnetize the head.

= Magnetic buildup on the erase head.
Demagnetize the head.
Unbalanced tone in higher frequencies * Incortect setting of the DOLBY NR switch.
Noise occurs in AM recording.
