3.1 Unpacking and Handling
1. Unpack the welder as soon as it arrives and retain the packing material
for future use.
2. Inspect the controls, indicators and surfaces for signs of damage.
Note:
To inspect internal components, remove the final
inspection station tag located at the top of the welder and
discard the tag.
3. Check to see if any component has become loose during shipping.
Note:
If damage has occurred, notify the shipping company
immediately. Retain packing materials for inspection.
4. If you need to return equipment to Branson, please fill out the
Authorization to Return Equipment Form located at the back of this
manual and return with your welder to expedite the repair of your
equipment.
3.2 Location
1. Install the welder in an area away from radiators or heating vents.
2. Allow sufficient clearance to the rear of the welder to provide access to
the connectors (approximately 6 in/150 mm minimum).
3. Check that air vents on top and bottom of the welder are free from
obstruction.
4. Observe the environmental specifications detailed in Appendix B.
