4.1

Positioning the appliance

WARNING! Prior to starting any installation activities, ensure that the position where the water heater is to be
installed meets the following conditions:
a)
Ensure the volume of the room where the appliance is to be installed is not less than 13 m³, with an adequate air
ventilation. Do not install the product in a room containing an appliance that requires air to function (e.g. an open-
chamber gas boiler, open-chamber gas water heater, etc.);
b)
Identify the most suitable position on the wall, allowing enough room for any maintenance operations to be carried
out easily (For minimum distances see Fig. 6);
c)
Ensure the available space is adequate to house the product, also taking into consideration the space required
for the hydraulic safety devices, and the electrical and hydraulic connections;
d)
Ensure the chosen position has adequate space to connect the safety unit siphon, to which the condensate outlet
will also be connected (see sect. 4.4);
e)
Avoid installing the appliance in environments which may favour the formation of ice and frost. The product was
designed to be installed indoors. Product performance and safety cannot be guaranteed if it is installed outdoors;
f)
Ensure the room where the appliance is to be installed and the electrical and hydraulic systems to which the
appliance must be connected fully comply with the applicable legislation;
g)
Ensure the chosen position has, or it is possible to arrange, a single-phase 220-240V ~ 50Hz power supply;
h)
Ensure the wall is perfectly vertical and can support the water heater when full;
i)
Ensure the chosen location conforms to the IP rating (protection against the penetration of liquids) of the
appliance, in accordance with applicable legislation;
j)
Ensure the appliance is not be exposed to direct sunlight, even where there are windows;
k)
Ensure the device is not exposed to, or the extracted air does not come from, particularly aggressive environments
such as acidic fumes, particulates, saturates of gas, solvents;
l)
Ensure the appliance is not directly installed on electrical lines that are unprotected against surges in voltage;
m)
Ensure the appliance is installed as close as possible to where it is to be used in order to limit heat dispersion
along the pipework.

Remove the packaging from the product,
b)
Fix the product to the wall: the water heater is equipped with a wall support bracket complete with the relative

to damage the cables and pipes on the underside (see fig. 5). To facilitate the correct assembly of the
product, please refer to the installation template shown on the box used for packaging.
c)
Ensure the product is perfectly vertical, using a level for verification (see fig. 3b,6)
d)
Fasten the dielectric unions to the water inlet and outlet pipes
e)
Position a hydraulic safety device on the cold water inlet pipe
f)
Connect the siphon of the safety unit to the outlet and place the condensate outlet pipe inside the siphon
