Connecting RS-232C/IR sensor

To control this monitor from a computer via a communication, connect this monitor and the computer using an RS-232C cable
(accessory).
In addition, to operate this monitor using the wireless remote control (option), connect the IR sensor supplied with the remote control
kit (option) to this monitor.
By connecting multiple LM55S1 (W) monitors using RS-232C cables, you can control any one or all of LM55S1 (W) using the
computer or one wireless remote control (option).
How to connect
Turn off the main power switch of the computer and this monitor. If you make a connection while the power is on, it causes a
failure of the devices.
Connect the computer and this monitor using a reverse type RS-232C cable (accessory).
In addition, when you connect two or more monitors as shown in the illustration below, connect the RS-232C OUT connector
of the fi rst monitor and the RS-232C IN connector of the second monitor using a reverse type RS-232C cable (accessory). By
repeating the connection in the similar way, you can connect monitors in a daisy chain confi guration.
When you use the IR sensor supplied with the remote control kit (option), connect the IR sensor to the fi rst LM55S1 (W).
NOTE:
Though you can connect up to 104 monitors, the maximum number of connectable monitors may be limited depending on the
installation environment.

NOTE:
When only the 25-pin serial port is equipped as the serial communication port on the computer, a conversion adapter (commercially
available) is necessary for the connection.

Connecting REMOTE

REMOTE cables can be used when the multi-connection is not confi gured with RS-232C cables. By connecting multiple LM55S1 (W)
monitors using REMOTE cables (ø3.5-mm stereo mini audio cable) (commercially available), you can control all of LM55S1 (W)
monitors using one remote control (option).
CAUTION:
Do not confi gure a multi-connection using REMOTE IN/OUT and RS-232C IN/OUT at the same time. Failure to do so may cause
improper operation of the LCD monitor.
You cannot use the remote control numbering function if monitors are multi-connected using REMOTE IN/OUT.
How to connect

Connect REMOTE OUT on LM55S1 (W) and REMOTE IN on the subsequent LM55S1 (W) using a REMOTE cable (ø3.5-mm
