7.2

Periodic maintenance works

CAUTION
Risk of personal or material damage!
Before commencing any maintenance work:
▶ Switch off the electric supply.
▶ Close the water shut-off valve.
▶ Only use original spare parts.
▶ Order spare parts from the spare parts catalogue for this
appliance.
▶ During maintenance work, replace removed joints with
new ones.

7.2.1 Functional check

▶ Check that all components are functioning correctly.
CAUTION
Risk of damage to property!
Risk of damage to the enamel coating.
▶ Never clean the enamelled interior of the appliance with
descaling agents. No additional products are necessary to
protect the enamel coating.
7.3

Protection anode

The appliance is protected against corrosion by a magnesium
anode in the tank.
The magnesium anode offers basic protection against potential
damage to the enamel.
We recommend an initial check one year after commissioning.
NOTICE
Risk of corrosion!
Neglecting the anode could lead to early corrosion damage.
▶ Depending on the water quality at the location (Tab. 5),
check the anode every year or two-years and, if necessary,
replace it.

Maintenance (only for approved specialists)
It is forbidden to commission the appliance without an installed
magnesium anode.
Without this protection, the appliance is not covered by the
manufacturer's warranty.
▶ Switch off the appliance's infeed RCD.
▶ Before starting any work, make sure that the appliance is
not connected to the electricity.
▶ Completely empty the appliance ( chapter 4.6).
▶ Loosen the screws on the appliance cover and remove it.
▶ Disconnect the connecting cables from the thermostat.
▶ Loosen the fixing screws of the flange.
▶ Remove the flange.
▶ Check the magnesium anode and, if necessary, replace it.
7.4

Safety thermostat

The appliance is equipped with automatic safety equipment. If
for any reason the temperature of the water in the appliance
rises above the safety limit, this device cuts the power to the
appliance, preventing any potential accident.
DANGER
Risk of electric shock!
The thermostat must be reset by an authorised person only!
This device must be reset manually and only after having
eliminated the issue which caused it to be activated.
To reset the device:
▶ Disconnect the appliance from the electricity.
▶ Loosen the screws on the appliance cover and remove it [1].
▶ Check the electrical connections.
▶ Press the button on the safety equipment [2].
If the safety thermostat is activated on a frequent basis:
▶ ensure more regular cleaning of the electric heater.
