7.4 Sensor Connections
Video Extension Cable Connection – The AI Dash Cam is equipped with a port that the

CAB000548 can be connected to. This cable allows the addition of two cameras and a
viewing monitor.
GPS Connection - The device is equipped with an internal GPS antenna/receiver.

Monitor Connection – The CAB000548 is used to connect an optional external monitor if
▪
required.
Driver Alert Button Connection - The tri-color Driver Alert Button (G4 -Driver Alert) is
▪
connected using the 4-Pin connector (CAB000549) to the RS232 to RS485 converter
(CAB000550) and then to the Power Supply box (CAB000545).
ADAS Event Monitor Connection - The ADAS Event Monitor is connected to the RS232 to
▪
RS485 converter (CAB000550) and then to the Power Supply box (CAB000545).
Sensors – IO sensors can be connected to either the CAB000547 or CAB000546. Four
▪
sensor connections are included and can be connected to 12VDC signals.
7.5 Configuration
Users will connect to the AI Dash Cam using Wi-Fi on their iOS or Android device utilizing
▪
the G4 Connect App.
The Wi-Fi will be active on the AI Dash Cam for two minutes after booting up. Look for
▪
an SSID: ST-xxxxxxxx. Enter the following password when prompted: 30131127
When connecting wirelessly through the G4 Connect™ app., configuration menus are
▪
accessed from:
o Preferences ➔ Config
Enter the following login information when prompted:

o User ID:
o Password: admin
8 Wiring Instructions
8.1 Connecting the Power Supply
The power supply cable is connected to the back of the device through a power input-
output connector (CAB000545). The power supply box is further connected to an R-Watch or
3 LED Driver Alert button using a RS232 to RS485 adapter.
Note: You can connect a Driver Alert button or a ADAS Event Monitor separately but not at
the same time.
8.2 Connecting an additional camera
A video extension cable (CAB000548), which has a "AV IN", "AV OUT", "IP IN" extensions can
be used to connect additional cameras to AI Dash Cam. You can use the following guidelines:
AHD Camera should be connected to the "AV IN" extension of the cable.

A monitor should be connected to the "AV OUT" extension of the cable.

IP Camera should be connected to "IP IN" extension of the cable.
