PDL Test Setup - Mueller method
The patchcords to and from the polarization controller and the attenuator
must not move during, or between measurements. Use adhesive tape to fix
the fibers to the table.
Measure the Optical Power after the Attenuator Module
Open the shutter of the attenuator.

Set the λ/4 and λ/2 Retarder Plates for Linear Horizontal polarized light.

Note the power reading as DUT Power P

Set the λ/4 and λ/2 Retarder Plates to the corrected wavelength

dependent positions for Linear Vertical polarized light.
Note the power displayed on the power meter as DUT Power P
