1.3 Electrical connection

Risk of fire and electric shock.
• The appliance must be correctly earthed. The manufacturer is not responsible for the
consequences of an inadequate earthing system.
• Make sure that the parameters on the rating plate are compatible with the electrical rat-
ings of the mains power supply.
• WARNING: The appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device,
such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by a utility.
• Always use a correctly installed shockproof socket.
• Do not use multi-plug adapters and extension cables.
• Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect the appliance. Always pull the mains plug.
• Do not touch the mains cable or the mains plug with wet hands.
• If the mains power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its Authorized Service Centre or similarly qualified persons to avoid an electrical
hazard.
• This appliance is fitted with a 13 A mains plug. If it is necessary to change the mains
plug fuse, use only a 13 A ASTA (BS 1362) fuse (UK and Ireland only).
