6 Put the empty jug in the coffee machine.
7 Put the mains plug in the wall socket.
8 Press the power button to switch on the coffee machine. The display lights
up.
9 Press the cleaning button on the coffee machine.
10 Select the descaling setting.
11 Press the start button to confirm your selection.

The coffee machine will automatically begin the descaling process.
12 Wait for the machine to finish brewing the descaling solution.
13 Once the descaling process is complete, rinse the machine twice with the
maximum amount of water to completely remove any deposits.
14 Empty the jug and remove the paper filter with the scale residues.
15 Fill the water reservoir with fresh cold water and press start button to start
another brewing process.
Let the coffee machine complete the entire brewing process and empty the
jug.
Note: If necessary, repeat step 14 until the water that comes out of the coffee
machine no longer tastes or smells of vinegar.
16 Clean the filter basket and the jug with hot water and some washing-up
liquid.
17 Press the power button to switch off the appliance.
