C1D2 / C1D2 - Corrosion Resistant - Motion Sensor
Do not attempt installation until you are familiar with all warnings, precautions, and procedures outlined within this instruction sheet.
WARNING:
READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING FIXTURE. RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. CRITICAL
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
INSTALLATION SHOULD ONLY BE CONDUCTED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH NEC AND ANY RELEVANT
LOCAL BUILDING CODES.
ENSURE THAT POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE DOES NOT EXCEED MAXIMUM VOLTAGE RATING OF LIGHT.
TO PREVENT RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK DEACTIVATE/DISCONNECT POWER SUPPLY BEFORE INSTALLING OR RELAMPING
FIXTURE.
TO REDUCE RISK OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION, DO NOT INSTALL WHERE MARKED OPERATING TEMPERATURE EXCEEDS THE IGNITION
TEMPERATURE OF THE HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERES.
THIS FIXTURE SHOULD BE INSTALLED BY QUALIFIED TECHNICIANS IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL
CODE AND ANY LOCAL REQUIREMENTS.
BEFORE OPENING, ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE LUMINAIRE MUST BE TURNED OFF. KEEP TIGHTLY CLOSED WHEN IN OPERATION.
ALL THREADED CONNECTIONS MUST ENGAGE FIVE FULL THREADS.
INSTALLATION
This LED light is supplied from factory with the predefined voltage, mount, and lamp
color selected per model.
Before installation or service of this fixture, TURN OFF ELECTRICITY.
Wiring needs to comply with National and Local Electric Codes.
1. Find a suitable location for mounting the fixture.
2. Mount using the two mounting ears on each the wall box and motion sensor
enclosure.
3. Remove the front enclosure cover by loosening the set screw and rotating
counter-clockwise.
4. Attach conduit as required, and pull field wiring into enclosure. Connect wires to
fixture following wire diagram. To ensure water-tightness, lubricate conduit
plugs with lubricant.
5. Dip switches on the motion sensor offer several adjustments and functionality.
See chart below for a description of each parameter.
6. Once set, replace motion sensor and wiring into enclosure box.
7. Replace cover, and rotate clockwise to tighten.
8. Tighten set screw.
9. Ensure a light bulb is installed and globe and guard are secure.
10. Energize fixture and test for proper function.
This unit is designed to operate on 120V, 220V-240V AC, or 12V or 24V DC electrical
circuits depending on model. AC and DC voltage is not interchangeable and product
nameplate must always be consulted prior to energizing fixture. This motion sensor is suitable for use in environments
where combustible dusts and particulates may be present.
Motion sensor operates like a standard on/off light switch. The circuit is normally open when no motion is present. Once
motion is detected, the internal switch changes to a closed circuit, allowing voltage to pass through the sensor and
power the device(s) at the other end.
The sensor is an active motion detector; it emits high-frequency electro-magnetic waves (5.8GHz) and receives their
echo. The sensor detects the change in echo from even the slightest movement in its detection zone. A microprocessor
then triggers the "switch light ON" command. Detection is possible through doors, panes of glass or thin walls.
