Installing/removing the battery
(Fig. 4) Lock the power button
before installing or removing the
battery.
To remove the battery, press the battery
latches and, without releasing them, gen-
tly pull the battery in the direction of the
arrow (A).
To attach the rechargeable battery to
the drill screwdriver, align the projec-
tions on the rechargeable battery with
the grooves on the power tool's body
and gently push the rechargeable battery
in the direction of the arrow (B) until it
clicks. It is not recommended to exert ex-
cessive effort when installing the battery.
If the battery is connected with force, it
means that the installation steps were
not performed correctly or that a foreign
object, such as a chip, has fallen into the
grooves of the case.
Instructions for optimal battery handling
The battery is partially charged. Fully
charge the battery before using it for the
first time.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at
any time; this does not reduce its service
life. Interrupting the charging process
does not harm the battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected
against deep discharge. When the bat-
tery is discharged, the power tool is
turned off thanks to the protection sys-
tem.
WARN ING!
After the power tool turns off auto-
matically, do not press the power
button again. This may damage the
battery.
The rechargeable battery is equipped
with a temperature sensor that allows
charging only in the range from +5 °C to
+45 °C. This ensures a long battery life.
Store the battery only at a temperature
of -20 °C to +45 °C. In particular, do not
leave the battery in the car during the
summer.
Too short duration of operation af-
ter charging indicates that the battery
has exhausted itself and needs to be re-
12
placed. Follow the disposal instructions.
Protection indicator
When the power tool is heavily loaded,
it will go into overcurrent protection and
automatically turn off.
For further work, it is necessary to turn
off the power tool, then turn it on and re-
duce the load on it.
