Some
amplifiers
generate
a fairly loud
click noise
during switching.
Use the muting switch or turn the
volume down before switching to protect the speakers.
Before
connecting the input/output
cords, make sure
that the volume
control on the amplifier is set to its
minimum
position and that the power switch is turned
off.
Take care not to apply continuous noise or large-ampli-
tude
signals
containing
high-frequency
components
generated
when
detuning
the FM
tuner
or setting a
tape deck to fast forward.
This noise and these signals
may damage the speakers.
The HS-371's
cabinets
use
top-quality. materials, and
they are designed
and
produced
under strict quality
control.
They are made of wood and so avoid humid
locations and places where
the ambient
temperature
changes markedly.
Also, do not put the speakers in
the sun.
* Removing the front grille does not affect the perform-
ance of the speaker system.
However, do not touch the speaker cones and center
caps since you may damage them.
* Do
not
disassemble
the speakers and the networks.
All the characteristics, including those of the enclosure,
are adjusted
to their optimum level and so the per-
formance of the speaker system can only be displayed
by applying signals to the rear terminals.
