ARKING
I . Arter stopping the motorcyc le, shift t he
tran smission into neutral, turn th e hand le-
bar fully to t he left, turn the ignition switch
OFF and remove the key.
2. Use the side stand to support the motor-
cycle wh ile parked.

CAUTION
I
• P ark the motorcycle on firm, level
ground to prevent it from falling over.
• If you must park on a slight incline, aim
the front of the motorcycle uphill to re-
duce the possib ility of rolling off the
side stand or overturning.
3. Lock the st eering t o help prevent theft
(page 36).

• Make sure flammable materials such as
dry grass or leaves do not come in contact
wi t h t he exhaust syst em w hen parkin g
your motorcycle.
ANTI-THEFT TI PS
1.
Always lock th e steering and never leave
the key in the ignition switch. This sounds
simple but people did forget.
2. Be sure the registration information for
your motorcycle is accurate and current.
3. Park your motorcycle in a locked garage
whenever possible.
4. Put your name, address, and phone num-
ber in thi s Owner's Manual and keep it on
your motorcycles at all times.

Manuals th at are still with them.
