FUEL
Fuel tank
The fuel tank is
equipped with
an
automatic
vacuum
cock.
Feeding
is
assured whenever
the
engine
is
operated. Feeding
is
cut off
as
soon
as
the
engine
is
stopped.
The fuel
tank
capacity
is: 19,6
litres.
To
open
th
e
fu el
filler cap (1
),
lift
the protector (2),
in-
sert the
ignition
key (3)
and
turn it
clockwise.
After refuelling, to
reinstall
the
fu el
filler
cap,
press the
cap
on
both
sides
,
remove
the
key,
and
close
the protector.
Use
unleaded
petrol with a
research
octane
number of
91
or
higher.
Th
e use
of
leaded petrol
will
cause
prema-
ture damage
to
the
catalytic
converter.

CAUTION
I
If
"spark
knock" or
"pinking"
occurs at
a
steady
engine speed under
normal
load, change brands of
petrol.
If
spark
knock
or pinking
persists,
consult
your

Honda dealer.
Failure
to
do so is con-
sidered
misuse,
and damage caused by
misuse is not
covered by Honda's Lim-
ited
Warranty.

Petrol is extremely flammable
and is
explosive under certain conditions.
Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the
engine stopped. Do not smoke or allow
flames or sparks in the area where
petrol is stored or where the fuel tank is
refuelled.
Do not overfill the tank (there should be
no fuel in the filler neck (4). After refu-
elling, make sure the fuel fill cap is
closed securely.
• Be careful not to spill fuel when refu-
elling. Spilled fuel or fuel when refu-
elling. Spilled fuel or fuel vapour may ig-
nite. If any fuel is spilled, make sure the
area is dry before starting the engine.
Avoid repeated or prolonged contact
with skin or breathing of vapour.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
