The Grand Tour
This chapter identifies the various components of your computer.
Become familiar with each component before you operate the computer.
Certain notebook chassis are designed to accommodate all possible
configurations for an entire product series. Therefore, please be aware that
your selected model may not have all the features and specifications
corresponding to all of the icons or switches shown on the notebook
chassis.

Front with the display closed

The following figure shows the computer's front with its display panel in the
closed position.

The computer is configured with a DVD Super
Multi drive.
This latch secures the LCD panel in its closed
position. Push the latch to open the display.
Three LEDs let you monitor the DC IN, power and
battery status. Details are in the
Infrared receiver window is provided with some
models.
This is a sensor window that receives signals from
the remote control which is provided with your
computer.
It is not supported by Windows XP Media Center
Edition.
