PERIODIC SERVICE
■ Checking
Engine Oil Level
A
CAUTION
To avoid personal injury:
Be sure to stop the engine and remove the key
before checking the oil level.
1. Park the machine on a firm, flat and level surface.
2. Check engine oil before starting the engine, or, after 5
minutes or more when the engine has been stopped.
3: To check the oil level, draw out the dipstick, wipe it
clean, replace it, and draw it out again. Check to see
that the oil level lies between the two notches.
If the level is too low, add new oil to the prescribed
level at the oil inlet.

(A) Oil level is acceptable within this range.

u~ing an oil of different maker or viscosity from
the previous one, remove all of the old oil and oil filter.
Never mix two different types of oil.
• If oil level is low, do not run engine.

Transmission Fluid Level
1. .Park.. the machine on a flat surface, lower the
. implement and shut off engine.
2. To check the oil level, draw out the dipstick, wipe it
clean, replace it, and draw it out again. Check to see
that the oil level lies between the two notches.
lt'ttie level is too low, add new oil to the prescribed
level at the oil inlet.
