LAN Adapter & Cable Replacement Guide

The LAN adapter and LAN cable provide communication between the IS-240/280 postage meter
and the online server using a high speed internet or LAN (Local Area Network) connection. The
following steps will guide you through the removal of the LAN adapter and LAN cable and the ins-
tallation of the replacement parts.

Esure the machine is in
sleep mode. The power
indicator light will be amber.

Disconnect the power
cable from the wall
outlet. This will turn off the
IS-240/280 postage meter.

Disconnect the old LAN
cable from the LAN
wall outlet or router.

the prepaid label to the package over the old
shipping label.

Disconnect the USB
cable on the old LAN
Remove the new LAN adapter, LAN cable, and
shipping label from the shipping package.
Place the old LAN adapter and LAN cable
into the same shipping package. Seal the
