    Step A – Assembling your Mailing System DO NOT CONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE SYSTEM BEFORE INSTRUCTED. YOU MAY DAMAGE YOUR EQUIPMENT. A1 – Installing the Postage Meter (PSD) The Meter contains processing activing and postage funds information. Open the PSD cover located under the Turn the Mailing System on its back.
  • Page 9 Insert the PSD into the Mailing System, by positioning it vertically, with the contacts down and facing to the rear, and the labels towards you. Close the PSD Cover. Remove the PSD from its packaging. Write down the PSD No: (N33xxxxxx). You will need it at step C .

    Step B – Setting Up Connections In order to load funds, download rates, and support your Mailing System, you must set-up a connection between your Mailing System and the E-Services Server. This can be done in one of the following ways: Connection methods How does it work ? •...
  • Page 13 Connection Set-up using PC Meter Link Please do not connect your Mailing System to a USB port on your PC before installing PC Meter Link software. The installation software will notify you when to connect your Mailing System to your PC. a) Installing and connecting PC Meter Link Please close all running applications before installing the PC Meter Link application.
  • Page 14 Powering up your Mailing System Only use the Power Supply Cord included with your Mailing System. Remove the Power Supply and Power Cord from the packaging. Plug the female connector of the Power Supply Cord into the back of your system. Plug the other end of the Power Supply Cord into a wall socket.
  • Page 15 b) Configuring your E-Services Connection using PC Meter Link The installation wizard will help you to configure the connection of your Mailing System to the E-Services Server. Follow the instructions below to configure the connection to E-Services using the PC Meter Link application.

  • Page 19 b) Configuring your E-Services Connection using LAN The installation wizard is going to help you to configure the connection of your Mailing System to the E-Services Server. Note that the installation process restarts from the beginning if power is turned off before the process is completed.

    Step C – Activating your Mailing System C1 – Initiating the Postage Server Connection These screens will not appear on your Mailing System User Console if you use the PC Meter Link application. The Postage Server Connection screen will appear on your PC. Press to continue.
  • Page 22 C2 – Registering your Mailing System A registration PIN code must be entered into the system to activate your system. This PIN code can be found on the Quick Reference Guide that is included with your Meter. Once the PIN code is entered your System will be activated. Enter the PIN code using the keypad and Press to continue.
  • Page 23 C3 – Adding Postage Funds You can add Funds to your Mailing System anytime by completing the steps listed below. In order to complete your transaction, connection of your Mailing System to Neopost's Postage Server is required. Test that a Funds Transaction can be completed, request a small amount of postage to be added first.

C5 – Installing the Ink Cartridge Installing the Ink Cartridge Follow the steps below to install your Ink Cartridge. The following screen will appear: Press to continue.
  • Page 25 Open the Ink Cartridge slot by pulling the blue lever towards you and turning it to the right. Open the Front Cover by pulling it towards you by the upper left corner. Remove the protective film strip from the Ink Cartridge Printing Head. Insert the Ink Cartridge into the slot.
  • Page 26 You can now press to continue. Hold the cartridge in place, turn the Blue Lever back to the left until the cartridge is secured, then close the cover.
