Preparations
Inserting and Removing the Batteries
To supply power to the Digital Recorder, use AA-size
batteries (alkaline, nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd) rechargeable or
nickel metal hydride rechargeable batteries). See
precautions on page 15.
Precaution:
• Do not use different type batteries together.
Inserting batteries

Make sure the power of the Digital Recorder is
turned off.

Slide the battery compartment cover (1) to open it
in the direction of the arrow (2).

Load batteries, making sure their plus (
minus (
) ends are facing as shown below.

Close the battery compartment cover (1), hold
down the cover (2) and slide it in the direction of
the arrow (3) until it clicks.

Note:
• Press and slide the battery cover until it is closed securely, or
the batteries push up the cover.
Removing Batteries
Take out the batteries in step 3 above.
Maximum Time for Continuous Recording
The table below shows the approximate time that battery
power can last when the Digital Recorder continuously
records a movie at standard temperature (25 C (77 F)).
