4 Device Installation

This section detail installing various components of the camera.
DO NOT connect the camera to the power supply during installation.
The following installation diagram is for reference only. Please refer to the illustration that corresponds
to your particular camera.

4.1 Installing an Auto-Iris Lens

1. Remove protective cover from the CCD.
2. Align the lens with the camera body; then insert the lens and turn it clockwise until it is firmly
installed.
3. Insert the lens cable plug into the connector on the side panel of the camera.
4. Adjust the focal length of the lens to produce a clear image.

4.2 Installing a Manual Iris Lens

1. Remove protective cover from the CCD.
2. Determine the type of lens to be installed: C or CS.
For a C-type Lens:
a) Insert the C/CS adapter ring into the camera; then turn the adapter clockwise until it is
firmly attached to the focus ring.
b) Align the lens with the adapter; then insert the lens and turn it clockwise until it is firmly
installed.
For a CS-type Lens:
a) Align the lens with the camera body; then insert the lens and turn it clockwise until it is
firmly installed.
3. Loosen the screw near the focusing ring with a flathead screwdriver.
4. Turn the focusing ring counter-clockwise to move it away from the camera.
5. Adjust the focal length of the lens to produce a clear image. If the picture does not become
perfectly clear, then adjust the back focus.
6. Secure the screw with a flathead screwdriver to secure the focusing ring.
