6.2 Setting Mowing Height - Pull Type
1. Park the tractor and mower on level ground.
2. Using the hydraulic cylinder or ratchet attached
to the rear axle position the front skid shoes 1"
less off the ground of the desired mowing height.
(Example: If a 3" cut is desired Place the Skid-
shoes at 2" off the ground.) If a hydraulic cylinder
is used for height control, stroke spacers can be
placed on the cylinder rod to maintain a set cut-
ting height.
2. Adjust the two Leveling Rods so the front of the
mower is approximately 3/4" lower than the rear.
3. Level Rod adjustment is achieved by loosening
the lock nut against the clevis and screwing the
Level Rods in or out to set desired setting.
4. Be sure Level rods are equally set to maintain a
level cut.
5. Tighten the Lock Nut against the clevis to main-
tain the setting.
