BasX MR1L Amplifiers

The BasX MR1L features audiophile quality internal amplifiers with audiophile quality Class A/B
output stages. The speaker outputs on the MR1L can power up to 9 channels of speakers in
various configurations, including up to seven main and surround speakers and one pair of height
channels, or up to five main and surround speakers and two pairs of height channels.
The speaker outputs on the MR1L may be used by themselves, or in combination with the
13.2 Channel Analog Outputs., and may simply not be connected to speakers if you wish to use
the MR1L as a preamp/processor.
Note: The 13.2 Channel Analog Outputs on the BasX MR1L remain active at all times.
Note: WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND POWERING THE MR1L FULLY OFF BEFORE CONNECTING
AND DISCONNECTING SPEAKERS. Connecting or disconnecting speaker cables while the unit is
powered on may trigger the protection circuitry, and cause the unit to go into protect mode.
PROTECT MODE
IMPORTANT: The amplifiers in the BasX MR1L feature an audiophile-grade
protection circuit that is totally transparent in normal operation but will
disconnect the main power to the MR1L if it detects a fault. The most common
reason for this to occur is a loose or shorted speaker cable or a faulty
loudspeaker. A fault may also be triggered by excess high frequency noise or
DC offset voltage on an incoming audio signal.
If the MR1L detects a fault, the Standby Button on the front panel will flash, and
the word PROTECT will flash in the front panel display. If this happens, reset the
protection circuit in the MR1L by switching off the MAIN POWER using the rear
panel AC Power Switch, leaving it off for a few minutes, then turning it back on.
While the power is off you should check your speaker cables for obvious short
circuits or loose connections. If the fault persists when you turn the power back
on, please call Emotiva Technical Support for further assistance.
