Ignition with pulsations
Faults - Possible causes - Solutions
Possible cause
The gas pressure in the gas mains lies very
close to the value to which the minimum gas
pressure switch has been set.
The sudden drop in pressure after valve open-
ing causes temporary opening of the pressure
switch itself, the valve immediately closes and
the burner comes to a halt.
Pressure increases again, the pressure switch
closes again and the ignition cycle is repeated.
The sequence repeats endlessly.
Flame simulation
Faulty flame sensor
Air pressure switch faulty
Maximum gas pressure switch intervention
Permanent flame in the combustion head or
flame simulation
Poorly adjusted head
Ignition electrode incorrectly adjusted
Incorrectly adjusted fan air damper: too much
air
Output during ionisation phase is too high
