Counterweight

5-1-1 Notes on operation

1. Loading counterweight with basic boom is recommended.
2. Prior to erection of counterweight, retract the counterweight cylinder fully so as to avoid the
cylinder rod is damaged by counterweight.
3. Sufficient slewing space is needed, otherwise counterweight slab may fall down due to
collision, and important parts on the crane may be damaged.
4. The reference radius for setting the counterweight on its fixing position on the frame is 3945
mm.
5. Operation of lifting or lowering counterweight shall be performed under the condition that
turntable lock pin is extended out and the turntable and frame are locked.
6. During transportation on highway and long distance transfer, counterweight must be removed
and transported by other vehicle.

5-1-2 Counterweight combination

There are six counterweight slabs for QAY220, i.e. slabsⅠ, Ⅱ (2), Ⅲ and Ⅳ (2) as shown in Fig.
. Weight of each slab respectively is 12.5 t (Ⅰ), 10 t (Ⅱ) ,9.5 t (Ⅲ) and 11.5 t (Ⅳ).
