Chapter 4 Crane operation
4-1 Operation of engine
Independent engine is equipped for superstructure. Electric controlled engine of TAD720VE made
by VOLVO is selected. It is specialized for construction machinery, with features of low noise, compact
structure and powerful output torque. Prior to starting the engine, outriggers must be deployed (refer
to Chassis operation manual for operation of outriggers), chassis engine is shut down and all control
levers are returned to neutral.
