Troubleshooting
Problem
Speed of application slow or slower
Intermittent flow/sputtering
Quick disconnect does not stay
connected
Gun will not shut off
Fluid leaking at Flow Adjustment Nut Damaged seal
Fluid leaking out of either plug
Needle adjustment won't adjust
Cause
New pump hose not broken in
properly
Material too thick
Nozzle too small
Too much air being used
Pump hose worn
Plugged or dirty gun
Kinked hose
Gun adjustment set too low
Too many items on same circuit
Extension cord too long or wrong
gauge
Hopper connection not tight
Debris in system
Dirty or corroded fitting
Worn nozzle or needle
Debris in needle passage
Missing or damaged o-rings
Gun damaged
Dirty threads
Nozzle not on gun
Solution
Run pump dry for no longer than 2
minutes.
Thin material.
Change nozzles to a larger size. See
Recommended Nozzle Selection
Chart, page 10.
Partially close gun air valve to reduce
air flow.
Replace hose.
Relieve Pressure, page 6. Clean
gun.
Unkink hose.
Increase flow adjustment with flow
adjustment nut.
Unplug other items from circuit.
Use a different extension cord. Refer
to Grounding and Electric
Requirements, page 6.
Check gasket. TIghten connection.
Clean system.
Clean thoroughly. Soak in oil. Apply a
few drops of light oil.
Relieve Pressure, page 6. Replace
worn parts.
Relieve Pressure, page 6. Clean.

seal.
Relieve Pressure, page 6. Replace
o-rings.
Replace gun.
Clean threads.
Put nozzle on gun.
