Introduction
This manual gives guidelines for the use of the VETUS E-AIR electric
motor, type 'EAIR05024' , 'EAIR050' and 'EAIR070' .
The E-DRIVE system consists of five modules:
- Propulsion
- Control
- Energy monitoring
- Energy storage
- Energy supply
Within these five modules, several options and combinations are
possible.
Please consult the user manuals of all components before using
the E-DRIVE system.
Unauthorised modifications shall exclude the liability of the manu-
facturer for any resulting damage.
• During use ensure the correct battery voltage is available.
Balance the voltage of batteries connected in series. Check
individual battery blocks and make sure the voltage between
them is equal.
EAIR05024
The battery voltage should be 24 V nominal, with an operating range
between ≥22 V and ≤30 V. With an absolute maximum of 33 V.
The integrated motor controller limits the output as from 22 V and
stops at 19.5 V. This prevents excessive battery discharge.
EAIR050 / EAIR070
The battery voltage should be 48 V nominal, with an operating range
between ≥44 V and ≤59 V. With an absolute maximum of 60 V.
The integrated motor controller limits the output as from 44 V and
stops at 40 V. This prevents excessive battery discharge.
A (system) voltage higher than 60 V (EAIR050 and EAIR070) or
higher than 33 V (EAIR05024), causes irreparable damage to
the installation!
Changing over the plus (+) and minus (-) connections will
cause irreparable damage to the installation.
Never work on the electrical system while it is energized.
