Troubleshooting
Malfunctions of the E-AIR motor are in most cases caused by incor-
rect operation or insufficient maintenance.
In the event of a malfunction, always first check whether all operating
and maintenance instructions have been followed.
If you are unable to determine the cause of a fault or rectify a fault
yourself, please contact the nearest service representative.
Before starting, make sure that nobody is in the immediate
vicinityof the motor.
If necessary, disconnect the battery cables!
E-AIR motor does not run
Possible cause
Defective or discharged
battery.
Fuse burned out.
Loose or corroded
connections in the starter
circuit.
Poor electrical connection.
Defective starter switch.
Jammed parts.
Short circuit due to reverse
polarity.
E-AIR motor running hot
Possible cause
Motor seemingly overheated
due to defective temperature
sensor.
Motor overheated due
to faulty propeller shaft
alignment.
Motor overheated due to
heat radiation caused by
poor water lubrication of the
propeller shaft.
Engine overheated due
to insufficient engine
compartment ventilation.
Motor overheated due
to excessive ambient
temperature.

Solution
Check / recharge battery and
check battery charger.
Check the system. Replace the fuse.
If a replacement fuse blows again,
this indicates an electrical problem.
Have the system checked by an
installer.
Clean and secure the connections.
Repair.
Check / replace.
Repair.
Irreparable damage to motor
controller. Replace MCVB and all
connected panels.
Solution
Check / replace.
Align propeller shaft.
Check / repair.
Ensure adequate ventialtion.
The ambient temperature should
not exceed 50 °C. Ensure adequate
ventilation. Supply cool air and
discharge warm air.
