3 Getting Started
Controls and Status
A panel on top of the printer contains the power and cut buttons and three status lights.
Additional status information, such as remaining material in the cartridge, can be found in the Brady
Express Labels app and on the Print page in your Brady Workstation app.
Power
The power button can turn the printer on or reboot depending on how long you hold it.
•
Tap: Turns the printer on or off.
•
15 seconds: Reboots the printer.
Cut
Cutting occurs automatically depending on the cut setting in the label file. To manually cut, press the
cut button on the printer.
Bluetooth
The Bluetooth status light has the following meanings:
•
Pulsing light: The printer is broadcasting a Bluetooth signal for pairing.
•
Solid light: The printer is paired with a mobile device.
Five mobile devices can use the printer at a time. When the Brady Express Labels app is no longer
active on a mobile device (the app can still be open, but in the background), the connection becomes
available for another device.
