If the engine fails to turn over:
CHECK:
1. That the handbrake is on and that you are sitting on
the seat.
2. That the battery terminals are connected (fig. 81).
3. That fuse 6 (yellow 20amp ignition fuse) has not
blown or been dislodged.
4. That the battery is charged.
IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE CONTACT YOUR
TRACTOR DEALER.
For fuse box location see fig. 81 & 82.
If the engine turns over and does not
start:
CHECK:
1. That the fuel tank is full.
2. That the outlet in the fuel tank is not blocked.
3. That the fuel filter is not blocked (see engine
manual).
4. That fuse 2 (brown, 7.5 amp) has not blown or been
dislodged.
IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE CONTACT YOUR
TRACTOR DEALER.
If the engine misfires, loses power or
stalls in use:
CHECK:
1. That you have not run out of fuel. To re-fuel, see fig.
80.
2. That the air filter is not blocked (See engine manual).
3. That the engine cooling air intakes are not blocked.
4. If the ignition lights have gone off – check yellow 20
amp fuse and fuse 4 on the fuse holder.
5. That fuse 4 (brown, 7.5amp) has not blown or been
dislodged.
IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE CONTACT YOUR
TRACTOR DEALER.
If the cutter deck fails to operate:
CHECK:
1. That fuse 1 on the fuse holder (brown 7.5amp clutch
fuse has not blown.
2. Whether you have got off the seat – the safety switch
will disengage the cutter.
3. If the battery has lost charge it will no longer hold the
clutch in operation.
