Cutter Deck Installation (Deck Levelling)
Levelling Side to Side
Deck side to side levelling should only be attempted
as a secondary measure after front to back levelling
has been set. Adjust side to side levelling only if
absolutely needed.
This adjustment is best done with the deck set three
positions up from its lowest cut. Check the deck
position on both sides before making adjustment.
Both sides should be an even height from the cutting
surface. Levelling is achieved by adjusting the left
side (as you are sat on the tractor) of the deck at two
points.
Rear adjustment
(fig. 56 & 57)
The rear adjustment bracket is located on the rear
left hand side of the tractor. The bracket is situated
at the rear of the deck in front of the rear left tractor
wheel.
Locate the top lock nut (A) and loosen this off using a
17mm spanner. Now wind the adjuster nut (B) either
up or down using a 19mm spanner to alter the height
of the deck on the left hand side to match the right
hand side. Use the marks on the plate as a guide
as to how much to raise or lower the deck. When
the deck is level at the rear tighten the lock nut (A)
securely against adjuster nut (B).
Front adjustment
(fig. 58 & 59)
The front adjustment bracket can be located on the
front left hand side of the tractor. The bracket is
situated at the front of the deck in behind the front
left tractor wheel.
Locate the top lock nut (C) and loosen this off using
a 17mm spanner. Now wind the adjuster nut (D)
either up or down using a 19mm spanner to alter the
height of the deck on the left hand side to match the
right hand side. When the deck is level at the front
tighten the lock nut (C) securely against the adjuster
nut (D).
Raise and then lower the cutter deck using the lift
handle. Recheck the level of the deck. If it is still
incorrect re adjust as required.
