    2.2 Battery Warning Caution! Batteries are at risk of exploding if incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same type as recommended by the manufacturer.     2.3 Battery Installation/Replacement 2.3.1 Remove Battery Turn off the device and disconnect the AC power adapter. Place the device on a reliable surface, with the back facing upwards. On the bottom of the battery cover there is a small notch. Open the battery cover by lifting this notch up and away from the device.

    2.3.2 Insert Battery To insert the battery, start by placing the bottom edge inside the battery com- partment and then lowering the battery into place. Press the top and sides of the battery to ensure it is fully inserted. Replace the battery cover starting with the top edge. Press along the edge of the battery cover until it clicks into place to ensure secure installation.

    AIM-75H operates on either external AC power or internal battery power. We recom- mend using AC power when starting up the device for the first time. Warning! Use only the AC adapter provided by Advantech to power the device. The use of other AC adapters may damage the device and battery. For users wanting to start up the device for the first time using the internal battery power, ensure that the battery is fully charged before use.

    Plug the AC adapter cable into the power input port on the side of the device. When the AC adapter is connected, if there is a battery installed, it will begin charging. The status of the battery charge will be shown via the LED indicator. Refer to Section 1.2 Device Layout for information regarding the different status indicated by the battery LED indicator.

    2.5.2 Power Off To turn off the device, press and hold the power button until the options menu appears. Then tap the power off icon . (Users can also reboot the device or make an emergency call via the options menu.) 2.5.3 Wake Up To reduce unnecessary power consumption, the device will automatically go into sleep mode after 1 minute of inactivity.

    2.6 Touchscreen Display The AIM-75H touchscreen supports Android gestures as explained below. Caution! The touchscreen is designed to be touched gently with fingers. Double-Tap 2.6.1 Cleaning and Sanitation AIM-75H should be cleaned and disinfected regularly to ensure compliance with the hygiene and sanitation regulations for healthcare facilities.     2.7 User Interface AIM-75H is equipped with an Android interface for ease of operation. 2.7.1 Home Screen The Home screen is the starting point of navigating the device. Customize your home screen by adding application shortcuts, widgets, folders, and wallpapers. 2.7.2 Notification Panel Notifications appear as icons in the status bar along the top of the home screen.

    2.7.3 Navigation Bar The navigation bar is located along the bottom of the home screen and features three soft keys.     2.7.5 Manage Home Screens The interface supports multiple Home screen pages by default. Users can add and rearrange additional Home pages, app shortcuts, and widgets as required. To access other Home screen pages, simply slide your finger left/right across the Home screen.
