1. PRECAUTIONS

Read this manual before starting up the units.

The safety precautions listed here are divided into two categories.
W ARNING
If you do not follow these instrution s exactl y , the unit may
cause property damage, personal injury or loss of life.
CAUTION
If you do not follo w these instrutions exactl y , the unit may
caus e mino r o r moderat e propert y damage , persona l
injur y .
After completing the installation, make sure that the unit operates
properly during the start-up operation. Please instruct the customer
o n ho w t o opera t e t h e uni t an d kee p i t main t ained . Also , in f or m
customers that they should keep this installation manual along with
the owner's manual for future reference.
W ARNING
Only trained and qualified service personnel s h o u l d
attempt to install, repair or service the equipment.
Improper installat i on, repai r , and maintenance may result in
electric shocks, short-circuit, leaks, fire or other damage to
the equipment.
Install according to this installation instructions.
I f installatio n i s defective , i t wil l caus e wate r leakage ,
electrical shock and fire.

When installing the unit in a small space, take measures
to prevent refrigerant concentration from exceeding
allowable safety limits in the event of refrigerant leakage.

Exces sive refrigerant in a closed ambient can lead to oxygen
def i cienc y .
Use only factory authority accessories , and specified
parts for installation and service.
Instal l a t a stron g an d fir m locatio n whic h i s abl e t o
withstand the weight of the unit.
If the strength is not enough or installation is not properly
done, the set will drop to cause injur y .
Do not install in wet or excessively humid locations, such
as a laundry area.
Disconnect all power before servicing or repairing the unit.
Fo r electrica l work , follo w all loca l standards,
regulations and installation instructions. A dedicated
circuit and disconnect must be used.
I f electrica l circui t capacit y i s no t enoug h o r defec t i n
electrical work, it will cause electrical shock fire.
Use properly sized cable and connect tightly and secure
the cable so that no external force will act on the
terminal.
If connections are not correct, it will cause heat-up or
fire at the connection.
W iring routing must be properly arranged so that control
board cover is fixed properl y .
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.

When carrying out piping connection, take care not to
contaminate the refrigeration cycle.
Otherwise , i t wil l caus e lowe r capacit y , abnorma l hig h
pressure in the refrigeration cycle, explosion or injur y .
Do not modify the length of the power supply cord or use
of extension cord, and do not share the circuit with
other electrical appliances.
Otherwise, it will cause fire or electrical shock.
If refrigerant leaks during installation, ventilate the
area immediatel y .
T oxic gas may be produced if the refrigerant comes into the
place contacting with fire .
The temperature of refrigerant circuit will be high, please
kee p th e interconnectio n cabl e awa y fro m th e coppe r
tubing.
Afte r completin g th e installatio n work , chec k for
refrigerant leaks.
T oxic gas may be produced if the refrigerant leaks into the
room and comes into contact with a source of fire, such as a
fan heate r or stove.
