    1. UNPACKING THE UNIT, CHECKING AND STORING Thank you for purchasing a CARRIER unit. We trust that this unit will give you complete satisfaction. To ensure correct operation, all connections (electrical, hydraulic, etc.) must be made in accordance with best industry practice and the regulations in force in the country of use.

    4. INSTALLATION & CONNECTION To protect against injury or damage to the unit or room, the hydraulic connections must be made by qualified personnel only. 4.1. Mechanical connections Ensure there are no obstructions which could prevent optimal air distribution. A protective film applied to the air intake prevents dust from entering the unit during assembly and can be left in place until the diffuser is fitted in its final position.

    The ducts used should be insulated to prevent condensation. (Fibreglass 12-25 mm thick) - Remove the plug from the fresh air inlet. - Position the duct on the connection sleeve. - Place a retaining clamp around the duct in contact with the connection sleeve. - Tighten the clamp and check the integrity of the connection.

  • Page 26 Use a screwdriver to undo, but not remove, the lateral retaining screw on the electrical box casing (Fig. 13 a).  Modifying the motor speeds: Always use a screwdriver when performing cabling operations. 42KY offers a choice between two types of motor technology: Asynchronous and Brushless (low consumption). - The asynchronous motor: To optimise the unit's performance and depending on the type of control used.

    - Complete cassette unit (with electrical heaters) equipped with an EC motor (brushless technology): maximum leakage current = 4.5 mA. Electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with Emission Standard 61000-6-3 (EN55014-1, Tool class) and Immunity 61000-6-1 (Residential, commercial and light industry class). Important: The unit's compliance with the above standards does not guarantee the compliance of the installation as a whole (several other factors not relating to the unit may be involved).

    4. MONTAGE- & ANSCHLUSSARBEITEN Zum Schutz vor Verletzungen oder Schäden am Gerät oder am Raum, dürfen die Anschlüsse nur von qualifizierten Fachkräften ausgeführt werden. 4.1. Mechanische Verbindungen Vergewissern Sie sich, dass keine Hindernisse vorhanden sind, die eine optimale Verteilung der Luft beeinträchtigen könnten. Eine elektrostatische Folie auf der Ansaugöffnung verhindert, dass bei der Montage Staub in das Gehäuse eindringt.

    Um die Bildung von Kondensaten zu vermeiden, sollten die Kanäle isoliert sein (Glasfaser in einer Stärke von 12-25 mm). - Nehmen Sie den Stopfen am Außenlufteinlass ab. - Bringen Sie den Luftkanal am Anschlussstutzen an. - Befestigen Sie den Luftkanal mithilfe einer Schlauchschelle am Anschlussstutzen. - Ziehen Sie die Schlauchschelle fest und vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Verbindung dicht ist.

Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit entsprechend der Norm 61000-6-3 (EN55014-1, Klasse Kleingeräte) und Störfestigkeit 61000-6-1 (Wohnbereich, Geschäfts- und Gewerbebereiche sowie Kleinbetriebe). Wichtig: Die Konformität mit den oben genannten Normen ist keinesfalls eine Gewähr für die Konformität der Gesamtinstallation (zahlreiche andere Faktoren, die nicht vom Gerät abhängen, können zum Tragen kommen). Deshalb liegt es in der Verantwortung des Installateurs, sich an die üblichen Empfehlungen zu halten, um diese Konformität zu gewährleisten.
