Installing a Memory Upgrade
on the Video Graphics Board
The video graphics card in the Compaq Prosignia 200 6/233 server has sockets
for a memory upgrade from 1 Megabyte of video RAM to 2 Megabytes of
Video RAM. Compaq does not offer this upgrade and does not offer support for
it.
To upgrade the memory contact the Video Graphics Card vendor, STB Systems
Inc., directly by calling the technical support desk phone number,
800-234-4334, or outside the US, call 972-669-0989. When contacting STB,
provide them with both the Compaq part number (296361-001) and STB part
number (1X0-0471-102) to reference the correct video upgrade kit.
To install an additional 1-MB DRAM upgrade module on the PCI video
graphics board, follow these instructions, which detail how to remove the board
and install the video upgrade once it has been purchased from STB.
