Operation

Do not connect a charger to the existing charging socket
Check whether the HV trainer is in proper condition
Do not use the HV trainer if any of the following apply:
- Cables and plugs not in the intended place
- Visible mechanical damage to the e-tron system trainer
- Insulation visibly damaged
- HV components opened or visibly damaged
- Burning smell, smoke development
- Heat development detectable, crackle or pop
- Personal protection defective
Depending on the application situation, you can now decide whether to measure in
passive or active mode:
P. Passive operation:
P.1. Switch off ignition
P.2. Open Service Disconnect
P.3. Disconnect the power supply from the mains
P.4. Determine the absence of voltage Attention: Pay attention to the discharge time of
the DC link capacitors approx. 1min
P.5. Fault switches depending on the desired test situation, except for fault 24 all can be
can be switched as required
P.6. Detect faults by systematically isolating the cause.
A. Active operation:
Caution: A voltage of 70 VDC is applied to all HV components and to the measuring
sockets.
A.1. Make sure that no fault switch (except for the fuse switches and PE on 1, see fault
circuit diagram) is switched.
A.2. Establish mains supply
A.3. Close Service Disconnect
A.4. Switch on ignition
A.5. Measure the voltage
Caution: No fault may be switched, except of fault 24!
When using fault 24, the ignition and the service disconnect are bridged (contactor
